Meet the Team

Every person at Silver Spoon Ranch shares the same belief — that horses have something to teach, and our job is to make space for that.

Owner + Operator

Jessica Schwartz

Jessica is the founder of Silver Spoon Ranch and the reason any of this exists. A single mom who left a fast-paced career in aesthetics to build something slower and more intentional, she established her herd in just two years and has not stopped growing since.

Her approach to the ranch mirrors her approach to horsemanship. Patient, deliberate, and deeply personal. Every horse here is part of the family, and every person who walks through the gate is treated the same way. What she wants most is simple.

For people to come here, breathe deeply, and leave feeling like they found something they did not know they were looking for.

“I believe my life and my land are tools for something bigger than me. I just try to keep the gate open.”

— Jessica Schwartz, Founder

The Beginning

I left my career, bought horses, and never looked back

I'm Jessica. I was an aesthetician, a single mom to Coco and Mac, and someone who needed a slower life badly enough to go build one.

I left behind a fast-paced career and made a bold decision to step into something more intentional — a life rooted in nature, hard work, and healing.

Horses have healed me. There is something about their quiet strength and their honesty that I could not find anywhere else. So I followed that. And I have not regretted it for a single day.

What We Believe

The heart behind the ranch

Horses over performance

We are not here to produce show riders. We are here to build real relationships between people and horses, at whatever pace feels right.

Intention

Everything at Silver Spoon Ranch is built with care. Small herd, small groups, genuine attention. We do not rush anything that matters.

Purpose

With a deep belief that her life and land are tools for something greater, Jessica built Silver Spoon Ranch as a sanctuary where others can breathe deeply and feel at home.

The Ranch Today

Two years, one herd, and a gate we keep opening

In just two years, Silver Spoon Ranch went from a dream to an established herd that I am deeply proud of.

Every horse here has a name, a personality, and a place in this family. Sharing that with others has become one of my greatest joys. We are not a large training facility. We are not a show barn.

We are a place built for connection, for healing, and for the kind of quiet that only comes when you are standing next to a horse in the early morning. If you have found your way here, I think you already know what I mean.

Our Instructors

The team in the saddle

  • Marie

Marie brings a lifelong passion for horsemanship shaped by an English riding background and time spent working with horses out west. Drawing from classical dressage, jumping, and western riding, she takes a balanced and patient approach that helps horses and riders build safe, confident partnerships. She is currently finishing her degree in health sciences while remaining actively involved in the horse industry.

  • Evie

Evangeline "Evie" Cobb is a horsewoman with over 15 years of riding experience and four years training both her own horses and those of others. She has trained at Monty Roberts' Flag Is Up Farms in Solvang, California and has a natural ability to build trust and communication between horse and rider. Her passion is helping others experience that same deep connection.

  • Soren

Soren started as one of Silver Spoon's very first riders and has been around to watch the herd grow as her own horsemanship journey has grown alongside it. She has a big heart for learning and an even bigger one for teaching. Soren heads to college in the fall and will be bringing everything she learns back to share with us in the summer months.
